The legacy of Captain Valentín

The legacy of Captain Valentín

In 1978, a brave buccaneer named Valentín Barco set sail and founded the Galeón in the heart of Santiago de Compostela.

With the determination of a fearless pirate, Valentín built this restaurant-ship, creating a haven for every hungry cabin boy and sailor seeking the good life.

It's no small feat that he's managed to keep it afloat for almost half a century, sailing the seas as if it were the first day it was launched.

After eight years at the helm of the kitchen, serving every seafarer who arrived at the port with a smile, Javier Ferrer took over the helm of this ship after Valentín's retirement.
With his experience as a sailor seasoned on a thousand culinary voyages, he promises to continue preserving the tradition and essence of this long-standing establishment, where any pirate—veteran or youngster—finds a dish that makes them shout, "Aaarr, how delicious!"
